Bookshelf Styling 101

Here are a few tips for styling a bookshelf like a designer:

  • Start with a plan: Before you start styling your bookshelf, it's a good idea to have a plan in mind. Think about the overall look you want to achieve and how you want to use the space. Do you want a cohesive, minimalist look, or something more eclectic and playful?

  • Mix and match: Don't be afraid to #mixandmatch different styles and types of objects on your bookshelf. This will help to create a more interesting and dynamic display.

  • Use color to your advantage: Color can be a powerful tool for styling a bookshelf. Consider using a cohesive color scheme, or using pops of color to draw the eye to certain areas of the shelf.

  • Add in some greenery: Plants are a great way to add life and interest to a bookshelf. Choose a few small pots or planters in different sizes and styles to add some greenery to the display.

  • Layer and vary heights: To add depth and interest to your #bookshelf, try layering items and varying the heights of different objects. This will create a more visually appealing display. I love these acrylic risers from ballard.

  • Edit and rearrange: As you style your bookshelf, be willing to edit and rearrange items until you find a look that you love. Don't be afraid to take items off the shelf and start fresh if needed.
